On May 18, 2009 USCIS released an update on the number of H-1B applications for Fiscal Year 2010. According to the update, USCIS received 45,500 applications towards 65,000 quota. It looks like the quota will stay unfilled for at least two months from now. I cannot stress this enough – if you are in a valid non-immigration status, have an offer of employment from a US employer and hold a Bachelor’s degree, you still have a chance to receive an H-1B visa for fiscal Year 2010.
